I absolutely enjoy chronicling the lives of kiddos. Being a photographer means I get to be a part of the most important milestones, such as crawling, walking, and first birthdays. Children never cease to amaze me by how quickly they grow and develop personalities of their own. A year has passed since I've seen one of my favorite kiddos - Ian. Last year during his first birthday party, Ian was a couch surfer who was a little overwhelmed by his birthday festivities. Too shy to smile and scared of the big crowd, he ended up crying during the Happy Birthday song. Requested to come back to photograph his second birthday party, I was very curious to see how much Ian had changed since last year. Boy, was I surprised!
Ian was a walking, talking, laughing little boy. He flirted with everyone with his sweet "Hell-o!" and he wasn't afraid to join in the birthday fun! I certainly enjoyed watching him have fun with all his little friends. This year he fully embraced blowing out the candles and eating his smash cake. It was a completely different experience! I think Ian enjoyed his party as much as I did. His enjoyment had a lot to do with the theme of the party. Jen and Andrew threw a Construction themed birthday party for their little boy which was absolutely perfect. I have yet to meet a boy toddler who doesn't enjoy Tonka Trucks and digging in the dirt! Welcome to Ian's Construction birthday party!
