50 Years of Wedded Bliss

Capturing life's celebrations is one of the best parts of being behind the lens. I get to see the joy, the surprise, the excitement, and the love during various milestones of life. Sometimes I even get so swept up in the touching moments that I find myself crying along with everyone else. This is the case at Vi and Curt's 50th Anniversary celebration! With so much love in the room, it was hard not to to be enveloped and carried away in their happiness.

The room was filled with many personal mementos from the couple's wedding day. The most impressive piece was Vi's wedding dress which was on display at the front of the room! Many guests remarked on the tiny waist of the dress. Another beautiful touch was a display of the wedding vows they took 50 years ago. Transporting us back to that day, the couple also provided an album of the pictures, the guest book, and the marriage certificate. The couple even cut their cake with the cake knife they used on their wedding day. Considering that Vi and Curt have moved so much in their lives, it was impressive all of these items from their wedding day. Relive this special day with us in the following photos!

Here is the lovely cake with its baker - Dottie! She even made delicious and beautiful cupcakes with fondant doves.

The Pastor that married them 50 years ago!

A Barbershop Quartet, Razzmatazz, was part of the evening's entertainment. The grandchildren also serenaded their grandparents with a song.

I think you did an incredibly wonderful job! You went above and beyond what any other photographer would have done. Your personality meshed with your work. I noticed you would do whatever it took to "get the picture". Thank you so much!
