Family Portraits at Valley Forge National Historical Park

For me planning outdoor family sessions during autumn involves a great deal of fingers crossing. The unpredictability of autumn weather could mean weeks of rain, mild weather, or even an early snowfall. Each time I add a photo session to my November calendar I always cross my fingers for a beautiful day! This past weekend the weather gods were kind and we had a perfect mild, sunny afternoon at Valley Forge National Historical Park.

I met Krista and Cliff's beautiful family at Washington's Memorial Chapel at the park. The Cloisters of the Colonies provided a beautiful backdrop for our photo session, as well as a lovely playground for their energetic 4-year and 1-year old sons. The autumn hues of orange, reds, and yellows added a pop of color to the photos. I couldn't have asked for a prettier day or a lovelier family. Thank you so much to Krista and Cliff! Welcome to our session at Valley Forge National Historical Park!

Ben was full of energy and curiosity! I wish I had as much energy! He was also a perfect model.

I have yet to meet a little boy who doesn't love to be thrown into the air by his Dad. Matthew was having a gigglefest in the air!

We had the perfect golden light in this picture of Krista and Cliff.
